Let’s Talk!
In 2006, the UK public TV ran an 8-episode documentary titled A Girlâs Guide to 21st Century Sex hosted by Dr. Catherine Hood, Sexual Health and Relationship Expert. This series is 4 ½ hours long and touches on various aspects of sex such as orgasms, sex positions, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and penis enlargement devices. The following are highlights of this documentary.
The average length of an erect penis is 6 inches with a girth of 4.9 inches. 23% of British men are unsatisfied with the length of their penis, and most want to find a way to increase their penis size.
To test if penis enlargement is possible, three men did a 2-month trial of three different devices: The Jes Extender, the Enlargement Development Cream, and the Boi Toyz Penis Pump. Surprisingly, the Boi Toyz Penis Pump and the Enlargement Development Cream increased the penis size of the participants by about 18% and 15% respectively.
Some conditions may change the shape of the penis. Bill Clinton and about 4% of men over 40 are diagnosed with Peyronieâs disease that causes the erect penis to bend and make sex impossible. The bent is caused by scar tissue originating from inflammation in an area of the penis. Fortunately, Peyronieâs disease can be corrected through surgery.
Interestingly, women also enhance their genitals. Dr. David Matlock is a Cosmetic Surgeon who performs a procedure called the G-shot to enhance sensation in the G-spot. Under local anesthesia, the G-spot is injected with collagen (a wrinkle filler), which causes this area to grow to twice its size. The greater size makes the G-spot easier to find, extra sensitive, enhancing sexual arousal. The operation takes 5 minutes but costs 1000 pounds.
The rear-entry or âdoggie styleâ is the best position if a man has a small penis because it allows for a greater depth of penetration. Another advantage is that because of the angle of penetration, the G-spot gets stimulated. The most effective way to arouse a woman from this position is to kiss and touch the neck and the upper back. This kind of stimulation of the spine spreads pleasurable sensations through the nerves to all body parts.
Oral sex for men tends to be very enjoyable when a woman is able to replicate the sensation of being inside a vagina, which is a combination of warmth, pressure, and moisture. The womanâs mouth creates the warmth and the moisture sensation while the hand mimics pressure. Also, the tongue can be used to stimulate the very sensitive backside of the penis.
Sex during pregnancy is good for the baby and can be the best sex of a womanâs life. Providing it is a normal pregnancy, intercourse is possible up until the water breaks. During this period, progesterone levels increase by 10% and a pregnant woman produces more estrogen in one day as she would normally produce over 3 years. These higher hormonal levels create a sense of well-being and enhance orgasms.
On a more sobering note, one of the most common sexually transmitted infections in the world is Gonorrhea. This infection is also called the clap from the old French word clapier which means brothel. This bacterial infection has been known for about 150 years and up to 2/3 of new cases are in young adults under the age of 25. This disease can affect the throat, the rectum, the cervix, and the urethra.
Gonorrhea is highly infectious since there is a 25% risk of transmission through unprotected oral, vaginal, and anal sex. Most men have symptoms such as painful urination. Unfortunately, up to 80% of women are asymptomatic and if left untreated, may develop infertility due to damaged fallopian tubes.
A Girlâs Guide to 21st Century Sex is a fascinating documentary that covers a vast number of interesting facets of sex. From sex positions to oral sex, and sexually transmitted infections, almost everyone will be able to learn something new about human sexuality.
I hope that you will find the time to watch at least part of this series that is both entertaining, easy to understand, and educational.
